Simple Kind to Skin Vital Vitamins Foaming Cleanser

Review of Simple vital Vitamins Foaming Cleanser-

Review-simple-kind-to-skin-vital-vitamins-foaming-cleanserMy skin has been reacting to my usual face cleanser recently. I have been using Liz Earle Hot Cloth Polish for some time and Clinique Take the Day Off Balm (here’s my Review) to remove eye makeup. They are both very rich facial cleansers and I think they were congesting my skin leading to a few breakouts.

So I was in a small branch of Boots looking for a gentle cleanser. I need something that will-

  • clean my skin without stripping it of moisture
  • be non irritant, not full of crazy perfumes and chemicals
  • not too rich, no oils or balms

The problem I have is that I’m drawn to bold claims- “this cleanser will turn you into a glowing child”. When I really need to  just buy the simplest product going.

So I went for Simple’s Kind to Skin Cleanser. It comes in a plain green pump bottle. It cost £4.49. Simple assures me that

Our Vital Vitamin Foaming Cleanser is a perfect blend of multi-vitamins and skin-loving ingredients to remove impurities and traces of make-up.

Your skin will feel cleansed and refreshed, with added moisturisers. Perfect for even sensitive skin.

Review-simple-kind-to-skin-vital-vitamins-foaming-cleanserMarvellous! The foam is very soft, fluffy and slippery, 2-3 pumps is all you will need. There is no scent. I used my Microfibre Cloth to get into the nooks and crannies with the foam. My face feels very clean but not tight or sore. I went over it with micellar water to see if there are any traces of makeup left. There was really very little-Review-simple-kind-to-skin-vital-vitamins-foaming-cleanser

It’s done better than Liz Earle! I’ve been using it several days and my skin seems very happy about it. Simple Foaming Cleanser really does leave my face clean as a whistle, I’m very pleased.

My only qualm is that it contains SLS. Sodium Laureth Sulphate is the chemical that makes suds and can be very drying. It strips oil and can aggravate acne and sensitive skin.

Simple kind to skin foaming wash is not a glamorous product. It doesn’t claim to do an awful lot apart from cleansing. But that’s good and it seems to cleanse very well. I bought this product in a hurry and given more time and choice I might have gone for Cetaphil facial wash (that is really gentle and SLS free). I’m going to give Simple Foaming Cleanser the benefit of the doubt as so far it seems jolly good.
