Review|Urban Decay|XX Vice Ltd Reloaded Eyeshadow Palette

My Review and swatches of Urban Decay Limited Edition XX Vice Reloaded Eyeshadow Palette urban decay xx vice ltd reloaded palette packagingUrban Decay are celebrating their 20 year anniversary with this beautiful eyeshadow palette. I got it for my birthday, not my 20th unfortunately. It’s thing of loveliness to behold.

The Vice XX Reloaded palette contains 20 shades of their most popular eyeshadows, spanning back through Urban Decay’s career as excellent eyeshadow makers. We all know by now that Urban Decay makes the best eyeshadow. I think if you are not in possession of the Naked 2 Palette then that is a very sad thing indeed. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Potion Is literally the only thing that keeps my eyeshadow in place all day.

Urban Decay XX Vice Reloaded Eyeshadow Palette Review

The packaging is stunning. A matte black compact with crystal letters UD inlaid into the lid. It pops open with the push of a button. The names of the shades are always printed under the shadow in Urban Decay palettes, making it easier to remember what you’re using. There’s a massive mirror in the lid and a lovely double ended brush. urban decay xx vice ltd reloaded palette packaging

Urban Decay has included “three totally NEW shades, five vintage shades, five exclusives from past palettes (like Vice, Vice Ltd and Book of Shadows Vol II), and seven bestsellers from our collection of singles.” There are acid brights, jewel tones, shimmering metallics and neutrals, so much to play with.

Here are the swatches-urban decay xx vice ltd reloaded palette arm swatches

Row 1– Suspend (a matte brown/grey), Oilslick (black with silver glitter), Roadstripe (white blue shimmer), Gash (my fave! Metallic orange red), Midnight Cowboy (peach shimmer with white glitter)

Row 2– 501 (dark blue with copper glitter), Shallow ( a really bright iridescent blue grey), Laced ( a Matt pink beige), Hot Pants (bright    iridescent pink), Mildew (metallic moss green)

Row 3– Smog (love this! Metallic copper), Misdemeanour (matte blue grey green), Freakshow (metallic dark purple), Asphyxia (shimmering bright light purple), Acid Rain (acid green shimmer)

The packaging, the brush, the colours, the pigmentation, the finishes are stunning/gorgeous/out of this world. Urban Decay XX Vice Reloaded Palette is like Urban Decay’s “Best of” mixtape. Gash, Smog and Goldmine are particularly wonderful in terms of colour finish and pay off.

It pains me to draw attention to it’s only downsides– the matte shades Anonymous and Laced are a bit meh. Also it costs £43. Justifying such frivolous spending is tricky, but I can promise this palette will give you months if not years of pleasure. And if you think about it, a nice meal out could cost that much easily and only provide 2 hours of fun, so really £43 eyeshadow is great value.

  1. Love the look of this Nia. I have the Naked 2 Palette and I do love it, but the pale cream matte shadow in that is a bit meh too…doesn’t show up at all really. Love the fun you could have with this though!x
